Prom Guidelines
Prom is a special event we aim to make safe and enjoyable for all. Please note the following guidelines:
Prom is for regularly enrolled juniors and seniors in good standing and their approved guests.
All students are expected to be in attendance the Friday before prom. Doctor’s notes will be required in order to attend.
Freshmen and sophomores are not allowed to attend.
Eligibility Requirements:
Students must have at least 5 passing grades (or equivalent) two weeks before prom.
No more than 2 out-of-school suspensions during the school year.
Fewer than 15 unexcused absences for the year.
Guests must meet specific criteria, including being actively enrolled juniors/seniors from another school or recent high school/GED graduates (20 years old or younger).
Students attending alternative schools are generally ineligible, with limited exceptions.
All attendees must complete the registration process. Guest permits are available at the front desk and must be submitted to the assistant principal’s office. Notifications will be sent if a guest permit is denied.
Violations of prom policies may result in loss of prom privileges. Prom is a tobacco-free event, and school suspension rules apply. Students suspected of alcohol use may be required to take a sobriety test.
