The information on this page will be as a reminder to the Student Policy about sharing passwords and to help assist you connect your devices to the school network.
As stated in the student policy, sharing your username and password is against this policy.
If you are found to be in breach of this policy the following could happen:
The device's found to be using your username and password will be banned/blacklisted from connecting to the wifi
If you suspect your device has been blacklisted, you will need to come down to the student center and speak to the Technician, if your device has been blacklisted you will need to provide the students name that connected you to the wifi, you will then need to have a discussion with your Whanau Head, they will decide if your device should be whitelisted again.
Your user account will be suspended, forcing all devices that are using your account off the wifi and preventing you from signing into the school computers and chromebooks
If caught, your Whanau Head and Assistant Principal will be notified. You will then need to speak to one of them and they will make the decision to enable your account again.
Click on the Wifi Network button in the lower left corner next to the time
Click on temp
Click Connect (leave Connect automatically ticked)
Enter Password 12345678
Click the Wifi Network button in the top right next to the time
Click on NNC-BYOD
Enter your username and password (as you would to login to the school computers) and click Join
A windows will pop up asking if you trust the cert, click continue (you might be asked to enter your computer name and password, enter and click ok)
Open the Settings app
Select Wifi
Select NNC-BYOD from the list
Enter your username and password (as you would to login to the school computers) and click Join
If this is the first time connecting to the network you will be asked to trust the certificate, click trust
Open the Settings app.
Select Wifi
Select NNC-BYOD from the list
For EAP Method select PEAP from the drop down box
For Phase 2 authentication select MS-CHAP V2
For Server CA certificate select DO NOT CHECK
in the Identity and Password fields, Enter your username and password (as you would to login to the school computers)
Leave anonymous Identity blank
Click Connect
Click on the Wifi Network button
Click on connect to wifi
Select NNC-BYOD from the list
For EAP Method select PEAP from the drop down box
For Phase 2 authentication select MS-CHAP V2
For Server CA certificate select DO NOT CHECK
in the Identity and Password fields, Enter your username and password (as you would to login to the school computers)
Leave anonymous Identity blank
Click Connect
