Attendance/ Late Work:

Grading Policy: The following outlines the 7th grade policy for late/missing assignments:
On-time = Full credit*
One day late = Half credit*
Two or more days late = No credit
*Please be aware that full/half credit does not guarantee a 100% or a 50%. The credit earned simply means that you will get either the grade that you have earned or half of the credit that you would have earned based on the quality of work turned in.
Teacher policies vary for submitted work. Opportunities to achieve mastery will be given throughout the school year.
If a student has 3 missing homework assignments in one class, they will be assigned an after school detention.
Plagiarism:
The Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines plagiarism as the act of “stealing and passing off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own.” This includes getting work from another student or copying wording from the internet or a text source and passing it off as your own.
The first instance of plagiarism will be dealt with directly by the student’s teacher and will result in an automatic 0% on the assignment where plagiarism was detected. If plagiarizing continues, it will be reported to the administration and dealt with as they see fit according to the Code of Conduct. We will be checking to make sure all work submitted is the students’ work and not anyone else's.
