A wonderful visit from professional golfer Lauren Walsh
We had the opportunity to have Irish professional golfer Lauren Walsh visit our class. She is a Ladies European Tour player. She won the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship and Wake Forest.
She started playing golf at the age of 10 which was really inspiring. The children had the opportunity to ask her questions about her career to date.
Community Helpers
We had a wonderful visit from our amazing community helpers, the Garda, Civil Defence and paramedics. They showed the children the important tools they use to do their job.
Intel Mini Scientist
Our class took part in the Intel Mini Scientist competition. We created lots of projects in groups to demonstrate a scientific concept.
Judges came into our school to examine our projects. They were so impressed that they took over an hour to pick a winner. We were so proud of all the work we completed as a team.
We had a cosy day in our class. It was so much fun!
We had hot chocolate and brought in cosy clothes. It was a nice activity for our last week of school before the winter break.
Our Creative Artists in 4th Class
These are some samples of the wonderful pieces of art the children have created in our class over the months of December, January and the start of February.
We have created art using 2D shapes. We created winter art focusing on mirror images. We created art based on the Dublin Canvas Project. Most recently, we created art based on the artist Claude Monet. We got inspiration from his piece of art 'Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lilies'.
