World Book Day
Last week we celebrated World Book Day! Many of the children dressed up as their favourite book character and/or brought in a book to show the class. We had book quizzes and lots of fun book related activities to enjoy also. It was great fun!
We are proud to present our first group projects in 3rd class!
Throughout January, the boys and girls picked a country with their group, researched and found out as much as they could about their chosen country and created fantastic posters. They then presented them to the class.
I am so proud of the wonderful work that the boys and girls have done on these projects. They really learned a lot about their chosen countries and about working together as a team. Well done everyone! :)
The boys and girls in Room 10 had a great time engaging in various Science activities and lessons for Science Week. Here are some photos of an experiment that we did to try and create a 'tornado in a bottle'! It was very messy but great fun!
The boys and girls in Room 10 had a fantastic time when Golf Ireland visited on Friday. We had so much fun participating in lots of different golf games!
Today, the boys and girls in 3rd class visited the residents of Craddockstown Nursing Home. They shared their news from their summer holidays with everyone. They also sang a song as Gaeilge and recited a poem that we learned in class. They made their teacher and school very proud with their excellent behaviour and manners. Well done 3rd class!
The boys and girls in 3rd class had great fun today, celebrating our 'Go Phones Free' day. They wore the 'Go Phones Free' colours (green, blue and yellow), had extra Golden Time and enjoyed a really informative talk from Irish comedian, Reuben Evans. They also made fantastic posters to raise awareness of the day. It was a super day and thoroughly enjoyed by all of the children.
