VEX Robotics is an extracurricular that my school offers. In this club, you learn all about how to design, build, and program a robot. Teams then use this robot that they made and compete with it. Throughout the competitions, teams collaborate and learn from each other which just leads to the knowledge and ability to create better robots.

First Robotics is similar to VEX. Each team designs, builds, and programs a robot to compete with. The competitions are similar to VEX as well. The main difference however is the creative freedom that First Robotics allows for as there are a lot less building rules to abide by. Unfortunately, my school only offered this for a year before the funding for it was cut off. Since I only participated for a year, I didn't end up earning any awards.
DECA is an activity that we partake in to practice real-world marketing and financial business roleplays. Their mission statement is: DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Thanks to DECA, I learned important leadership and presenting skills that I would not have learned otherwise.

I have played sports throughout my whole life. It started with soccer, which I started playing when I could walk, all the way until the end of high school. I also started throwing in track in 7th grade and through high school as well. Since I wanted to be a three sport athlete, I decided to join the bowling team during my freshmen year of high school and, again, played all the way through high school.

I work at the Kroger Company. My job began there in October of 2021. I started out as a bagger, but soon moved outside where I take care of the parking lot. Succeeding that, I became a cashier and improved my soft skills. In my time that I have worked at Kroger, I have improved my customer service, time management, and leadership skills, while still having the privilege of making many friends along the way.
I volunteer for many events at my school. For the most part, my volunteering hours come as a part of the various clubs/activities that I am in, however I do some extra volunteering on the side. I choose to volunteer my time because it's a selfless way of giving back to my community and it gives me hours that I can log for National Honors Society.
