A Message from Dr. Savage
Dear Students and Families,
We are excited to welcome everyone back for the 2025–2026 school year! Our 9th grade students will return on Tuesday, September 2nd, and all other students will return on Wednesday, September 3rd.
Please continue to check schedules, as last-minute adjustments may still occur. A reminder that first period begins promptly at 7:45 a.m., so students should already be in their classrooms at that time. Our parking lot can become congested in the mornings, so if you are dropping off a student, I encourage you to arrive early.
At JM Bennett, we believe our students can rise to the expectations we set. Our first and most important expectation is simple: learning is required. Anything that interferes with learning will be addressed.
Here are a few reminders as we begin the year:
· Dress Code: Students should dress appropriately. No hats or hoods, shirts should cover the midsection, and clothing should be school-appropriate.
· Attendance: Students are expected to attend every class. Missing 10 minutes or more of a class will be considered class cutting.
· Behavior: Vaping of any kind is not allowed on school grounds.
· Daily Attendance: Consistent attendance is essential for success. Please ensure your student is in school every day unless they are too ill to attend.
This year, our focus is on helping both students and staff be Dream Chasers and Legacy Makers. We are confident that with commitment, positivity, and teamwork, we will achieve great things together.
Let’s have a strong start to the school year. Remember, it’s always a great day to be a Clipper!
