Venue Guidance Assistant using Augmented Reality

The feeling of being lost in an unknown environment is a commonplace problem and is completely unavoidable the first time an individual visits an unfamiliar area.

This project aims to implement an Android application to assist individuals in navigating a building indoors to find their destination room. Unity and Vuforia will be the tools used to develop the application. Marker-based augmented reality navigation techniques are employed to achieve the objective. The location of this experiment shall be the Computational and Mathematical Sciences building of the University of the Western Cape.
