The Evans Bands celebrate their inaugural school year in 2011-2012. They are proud to join the rich tradition of great bands in the McLean County Unit District No. 5 Schools.

About George L. Evans Junior High School, Home of the Eagles

George L. Evans Junior High School celebrated its first opening day on August 18, 2011. The school serves 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from the communities of Bloomington, Normal, and Towanda in a state of the art facility.

Evans students are alumni from Benjamin, Cedar Ridge, Pepper Ridge, and Towanda Elementary Schools. Following their time in middle school, Evans students attend Normal Community High School or Normal West High School. Click here to visit McLean County Unit District No. 5 on the web.

In 2010-2011, future EJHS students were polled to select the school's mascot. Over 70% of the votes were cast for the "Eagles."
