Use this picture to get you started for the VEX Mechanisms build project.
The image should serve as a reference - The spacing can be larger if parts are limited.

Getting Started: Both Teams
You will build 2 different simple gear trains.
Gear Train A: 12 tooth (drive) to 60 tooth (driven)
Gear Train B: 84 tooth (drive) to 12 tooth (driven)
Red Team Builds
Tip: You can use any size gears for this build!
Tip: The green sliders are attached to the base plate. The metal bar will slide back and forth with the rotation of the gear. Use the tiny screws (gold or painted top) to attach the rack to the metal.
Tip: Make sure the metal piece allows the green slider to move BEFORE attaching it to your build. Use a spacer on the Cam so the metal bar can rotate freely.
Tip: Use a little tape on the back of the pulley wheel so it doesn't spin freely on the axle.
This build will need bevel gears inside of the differential.
Blue Team Builds
Tip: The use of bearing flats help to secure the worm at the right height for the wheel. The two side pieces are angle gussets.
Tip: Make sure the bottom metal piece allows the green slider to move BEFORE attaching it to your base plate
Tip: You may need to adjust the height spacing on this build so the follower goes up and down smoothly. The gray piece should be spaced off the build with a small spacer.

Tip: Don't forget your bearing flats so the gears are able to mesh
