ASB stands for Associated Student Body. The ASB organization at Tustin High School is both a class during the school day as well as an extra-curricular opportunity. Some positions are elected in ASB and some are appointed. We also have many students who are a part of our class who are still learning and do not have an appointed or elected position yet.
ASB does many things at Tustin High School. Besides making decisions regarding events, finances and school culture, ASB plans dances, assemblies, lunch activities, spirit weeks and more. We work in our class on how to be better leaders and communicators and we lead the student body in personal ways such as grades, attendance and behavior as well as a group that respects each other, adults on our campus and our peers.
Any incoming 9th-12th grade Tustin High School student can join ASB as long as they are a student of good standing including grades, behavior and attendance. An application is necessary for acceptance. Students who are in ASB agree to maintain good grades and seek to be a role model on campus. We welcome all kinds of students and we hold high standards for ourselves!
ASB is in charge of planning all dances, assemblies and school events. We choose theme, place and all the details for each event!
We love going to all kinds of sports events to support our teams. Many ASB students are also school athletes!
We run the @thsasb Instagram account that shows what we are doing on campus. We also make posters and marketing fliers promoting school events.
We work on our leadership skills all year long both inside and outside of the classroom.
ASB loves to give things away to the THS student body. We have week long giveaways, contests and we also give away free tickets to dances and events.
We celebrate birthdays, accomplishments and encourage members of the THS student body.
Many ASB positions are elected. ASB officers and class officers run meetings during which ASB members make financial and other decisions.
Both inside and outside the classroom, ASB members focus on their written and verbal communication skills with the goal of becoming confident and articulate communicators.
ASB plans and runs events like Spirit Weeks, Trick or Treating with the Teacher, and Food Fairs!
We step off campus sometimes to volunteer at local schools and events like the Dino Dash.
Many members in ASB learn how to run the audio and visual aspects of assemblies and other events to support the needs of the school.
We do lots of things both on and off campus to fundraise. Some of our favorites are Soak a Teacher and Holiday Grams.
We are proud to be Tustin High School students and we show it!
ASB is the governing body of all of our campus clubs. This year we have over 50 clubs to choose from!
Sometimes we head off campus to have fun together: Every August we start out the year with a beach bonfire!
