INTERACTIVE FEELINGS JOURNAL
Use this Interactive Feelings Journal with your child at home. Talk about the strategies that they can use to support themselves, and allow them to use these strategies when they need them.
Make sure you use PRESENT mode when your child uses this Interactive Journal at home.
Use this Mood Meter to have your child identify their level of pleasantness and their energy level. Then have them identify a word to describe how they are feelings. Children can move the circle to hover over the word.
Then have your child choose the strategy, or strategies, they plan on using to support themselves. Drag and drop these strategies into the matching square color (Zone) on the right.
Do you Bitmoji? Use this TEMPLATE to add your very own Bitmoji. You can create a Bitmoji of your child, choose the images that you want, and then add them into the quadrants.
Print it out, and have your child identify how they are feeling throughout the day.

These pages can be printed out and stapled together as a Feelings Journal, or they can be downloaded on your computer or iPad and used as an interactive journal.
Your child can circle or color in the face that shows how they are feeling, or they can click on the faces and type in the box below.
You can print these pages out and have your child write and draw directly on them, OR you can download them and have your child type into the text boxes.
There are three different versions of these journal pages.
Each bundle includes a Reflection and Goal Setting page, a Strengths and Challenges page, a Managing Emotions page, a Kindness and Compassion page, and a Responsibility page.
Activities on these pages are different in each bundle and can be reused over and over.
MOTIVATING YOUR CHILD AT HOME
Start by asking your child what is going to MOTIVATE them. It could be things that you've put down in the REWARD JAR (use image below), or things that he/she has written down on the Motivation Page.
Then have your child write down the things that they are WILLING to do. Maybe they aren't willing to do Lexia for 40 minutes, but they ARE willing to do Lexia for 20 minutes.
Look at all the activities and tasks that are required of your child each day. Start the day by asking them what is going to motivate them, and then have them record what tasks (or how much of each task) they are WILLING to do.
USING VISUALS TO SUPPORT HOMEWORK AND TASKS
Parents can use these visual supports to help motivate their child to complete tasks throughout the day.
PAGE 1: Daily Routines chunked by time of day
PAGE 2: Do/Done
PAGE 3: Activity Visuals
PAGES 4 and 5: Boxes to use
Use this visual to reward your child in each chunk of time. Ask them what they want to work for, and record at the bottom before starting a task.
Use these visuals to show students the behavior that is expected First, followed by Then.
First/Next/Then is a great tool when you want to add in a transition between two activities.
TOKEN BOARDS
These token boards can be interactive OR they can be printed out.
Each day should start by filling in the text box what the child is working for. There is also a space for the image of what they are working for.
Then drag the check mark or happy face onto the box when the student shows the expected behavior or individual tasks are completed.
After the activity is finished, reward the child with what they were working for.
