Tech Rehearsals

Cast 1 3:00 - 5:00 (pack a small snack)
Cast 2 5:00 - 7:00 (eat dinner beforehand)

School Assemblies - arrive at 8:15

Performances - arrive 1 hour early:
Cast 1 - December 5 @ 7:00pm

Your child will only come to the tech rehearsal/performance for their cast.
Arrive to rehearsal/performance with base clothes on and hair done
Bring jazz shoes or plain black shoes
If your child’s rehearsal is later in the day, your child will go home at dismissal and return to school later
Bring a labeled water bottle to all rehearsals and performances.
Base Clothes, Shoes, and Hairstyles
The directors have sent out information regarding base clothes, shoes, and hairstyles. It is important that your child wear their base clothes to school on the days that they have their photo shoot, tech rehearsals, assembly, and performances. The actors have more than one costume. The base clothes allow them to quickly change costumes backstage. Since we have 2 casts, some actors share costumes. Wearing base clothes also helps keep the costumes clean so that the other actors can wear them. Base clothes can typically be found at Target, Walmart, or on Amazon. If you need help finding base clothes, please let us know.
Jazz shoes should only be worn during photo shoots, tech rehearsals, and performances. I do not recommend wearing jazz shoes to school because the soles will get worn out quickly. They are not meant for walking around outside. I would suggest putting the jazz shoes in your child's backpack. They will have a chance to put them on when they put on their costumes.
There is a list of hairstyles for each role. If you are able to do your child's hair before coming to school, we'd greatly appreciate it. If your child needs help doing their hair, we have volunteers that will be able to help them.
Tickets
Last day to purchase VIP tickets is Monday, December 1. General Admissions tickets will available to purchase up until showtime, while seats are available.
Photo Shoots
Your child only needs to stay after school on their Photo Shoot day.
For the day of your child's photo shoot, they should wear their base clothes under their regular school clothes. They will be changing into their costumes for the photo shoot. Wearing their base clothes will allow them to change quickly and in front of the other cast members. Students will not have time to change into their base clothes after school.
If possible, we'd love it if your child could have their hair styled for their photos.

Madagascar Jr. T-shirts have arrived. Shirts were delivered to the students' teachers.
If you’d like to purchase an additional shirt for a sibling or yourself, please visit the store link here.
Musical Theater Parents: Your child’s T-shirt is already included as part of the Musical Theater Program package. Please do not place an order for your child’s shirt! Additional t-shirts will not be refunded.
All sales are final. Again, additional shirts should only be purchased for family members or siblings who wish to have one.
