In this elective course, we engage in many exciting design challenges to build our skills as innovators, creators, and designers. From catapults to ping-pong ziplines, and puzzle cubes to toothpick structures, we are always actively collaborating with others to build and test our creations and products. In addition, we learn various sketching techniques that provide a foundation for us as well tackle 3D modeling and printing. The students enrolled in this course also get to participate in OC Maker Challenge… We have received 4 awards in the past 3 years of the competition! This elective promotes leadership skills through collaboration, critical thinking, and self-led tasks/projects. Project-based learning and cooperative group work support the development and application of leadership skills essential for life in the 21st century.
