Orientation will be available to students in Septemeber, 2021.. Failure to complete the orientation may result in removal from the course they are accepted in.

Semester One courses will begin on September, 2021 and end on January, 2021. Further deadlines and dates will be posted as semester one approaches. These courses are all semestered.

2. All WECDSB students will be accepted into WECDSB e-Learning courses if space is available and will be waitlisted for Out of Board courses. Students will be accepted as space becomes available.

e-Learning, or electronic learning, is the delivery of a learning, training, or education program by electronic means.

It involves the use of a computer or electronic device to provide training, educational, or learning material. In most cases, the entire course, from learning content to writing the final exam, is done remotely though a Learning Management System*, where the student and the teacher never meet face-to-face.

The WECDSB endeavours to maintain these priorities for all e-Learning Courses using the Provincial Learning Management System, or LMS. The Ministry of Education has contracted Desire2Learn to manage this virtual learning environment for all of our staff and students. The LMS provides rich learning opportunities in a collaborative, safe, and secure environment.
