This Applicant Privacy Notice explains how Mythical Games (“Mythical,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and retains personal information about candidates who apply for roles with Mythical, are referred to Mythical, are sourced by our recruiting team, or otherwise participate in our recruitment process.
This notice applies only to candidate and applicant information processed for recruitment and hiring purposes. It does not apply to personal information collected through Mythical’s games, websites, marketplaces, or other consumer services.

Depending on the position and stage of the recruitment process, we may collect personal information directly from you, from referrals, recruiting agencies, job boards, professional networking sites, background check providers, or other sources permitted by law.

Mythical does not use solely automated decision-making to make hiring decisions. Hiring decisions involve human review.
Where we use automated tools, artificial intelligence, or similar technologies in a way that materially influences a hiring decision, we will provide any notices, disclosures, opt-out rights, human review processes, or other information required by applicable law.
Where required by applicable law, we process applicant information based on our legitimate interests in recruiting employees, complying with legal obligations, taking steps prior to entering into an employment relationship, and, where required, based on consent.

Mythical employees and team members involved in the recruitment and hiring process, including Recruiting, People, hiring managers, interviewers, Finance, Legal, and IT, where relevant.

We do not sell candidate personal information.
We do not share candidate personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where applicable to the role and permitted by law, employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Background checks are generally initiated after a conditional offer of employment and only after any required notice and authorization have been provided.
The scope of a background check may vary depending on the role, location, and applicable legal requirements.
We do not use solely automated decision-making to make employment decisions.
We retain candidate personal information for as long as necessary to manage the recruitment process, complete the hiring process, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain business and recruiting records, enforce our agreements, and consider candidates for future opportunities where permitted by law.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, applicable law, business needs, litigation holds, and recordkeeping requirements. We retain information for the period required or permitted by applicable law.
If you are hired, certain candidate information may become part of your employee record and will be handled in accordance with applicable employee privacy notices and retention practices.
