October 13 - 17
This week we had our student-led conferences, and what a fantastic experience it was! Thank you to all the families who were able to join us. It was wonderful to see students presenting their data and sharing their progress. We hope you found the insights helpful and enjoyed hearing directly from your child about their learning journey.
Math: We will begin exploring multi-digit multiplication.
ELAR (English Language Arts and Reading): In Unit 2B (12 school days) This unit bundles student expectations that address how author's purpose influences a writer's choice of structure. Writers use their purpose as the driver for choosing how to organize and develop their ideas. Purposeful structure and organization of ideas help the reader follow and understand the author’s purpose and message.
Science: We will identify and describe types of energy including light, sound, thermal and mechanical.
Social Studies: We will complete any missing work in Social Studies but not begin new material until next week.
Ask Your Child (Sci/SS): Tell me about your models for different types of energy.
