We are planning a field trip on Tuesday, April 14th to the Fort Worth Zoo. We will be leaving the school at 9:00 am and returning around 3 pm.
The cost of this activity (Zoo Fee + Bus Fee) for students is $15.00 dollars cash to your child’s teacher by Friday, March 27th. The cost for Parent Chaperones will be $22.00 per adult. Parents will pay at the gate upon arrival or may choose to purchase prior online. Chaperone Parents must be present at the Zoo entrance at 9:30 am to join their child’s class. Parking is $5.00 per vehicle.
** If you have a Zoo Pass, adults and siblings may use those to enter the Zoo. Parents must be present to use the Zoo Pass for your child. If you want your child to ride the bus from TeSA you must pay $6 dollars cash to the Home room Teacher by Friday, March 27th. You may bring your child to the Zoo (only if you are using a Zoo Pass) instead of the school if you do not want them to ride the bus. Please arrive at the Zoo by 9:30am.
*** Your child will only be counted Present if riding on the bus from TeSA.
The students will need to wear this year's Red Spirit Shirt or Red Polo. Please send a sack lunch with all disposable items. Food and drink will not be able to be saved. If you are coming with your child, there will be food for purchase. Parent chaperones are not permitted to buy food, drinks or gifts for other students. If you plan to go to the gift shop, please do so at the end of the trip when your group has been returned to their teacher. If you are not attending with your child, do not send money.
Students will be transported by: Bus
***PARENT CHAPERONES NEEDED – Because of the nature of this trip, we must have 4 to 5 chaperones from each classroom. Each Parent Chaperone will be assigned a small group of students to tour the zoo. You will be able to tour the zoo at your leisure with your group. You will have a set time to meet before loading the bus to go back to TeSA. Additional information for chaperones will be provided soon. Parents may choose to check out their child at the Zoo instead of at TeSA, after signing them out with their classroom teacher.
***BACKGROUND CHECKS- All chaperones attending MUST have a current background check on file with the office. You must come in person to the front office to complete the background check with Ms. Rey. Make sure to have your Driver’s License when you come. This process can take 1-3 weeks. Please complete ASAP.
ALL Background Checks must be completed PRIOR to April 1st.

We still have some students missing at least half of the Math lesson every day. Please help us & your child to have a smooth start to their day by arriving on time.
Fine Arts schedule for your child's class is located on the Fine Arts/PE tab at the top of the website page. Will no longer be put in Blue Folder.
Thank you,
Your 1st Grade Team♥️
Please click on 'Library Form' to fill out for permission to allow your child to check out books from the Library. We still have a decent amount of students who do not have a form filled out. You can either 'Accept' or 'Deny'. All 1st Grade classes go to the Library on Tuesdays.
Classroom:
All students need to bring a water bottle to school. These will travel with them for P.E., Dance, & Recess. Needs to have a top that closes & is spill proof. Having a water bottle in the classroom helps your child stay hydrated, less time leaving the classroom for water.
Label Belongings:
Help us reunite lost items quickly by labeling everything your child brings to school—jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, uniforms, backpacks, and instrument cases.
Use a permanent marker or name label
Include first & last name and grade/homeroom
Re-check labels after washing
Unlabeled items are hard to return and often end up in Lost & Found. Thanks for your help!
Communication through Remind
Starting this Friday August 22nd, we will exclusively use Remind for all general communication. Please make sure you are opted into your child's grade-level Remind account. You can join through the app or website, or by texting the codes below to 81010.
