We all know that our children's brains are developing rapidly throughout childhood. But, how do we, as caregivers, best support their developing brains? What is happening inside their brains? What do our children need from us to grow into well-integrated and balanced adults one day?
Come join Ellen, as we dive into these questions and make our way through the book, "The Whole-Brain Child" in our new online parent time class!
Tuesday nights at 8:30 - 9:30pm: https://meet.google.com/ioy-fybm-qxt
This class will run along with our Spring Session for 9 weeks starting on March 23!
The more you talk, play, read and sing to a child every day, the smarter their brain becomes. whether you’re a parent, grandparent, caregiver or friend, every little moment counts.
Our approach to supporting parents is based on the belief that parents are the true experts on their children, and that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to raising children. The information and tools we offer are designed to support parents in developing their own ways to promote their children’s growth and development.
Questions pop up, daily challenges creep in, and sometimes you just have a story to tell. ECFE is here to offer you a place for connection and support. If you are interested in meeting with a licensed parent-educator 1:1, Gail is always available to offer support and online meeting times, if needed. Email Gail at gailk@mystma.org if you would like to set up a meeting time. Or reach out to Ms. Ellen at uter.ellen@gmail.com
We have been and still are going through a stressful time. Life is slowly returning to normal but it is very different than what we knew half a year ago. How are your children processing all that has happened and the changes they have experienced?
Many of us continue to feel a sense of loss emotionally and mentally.
It is important to name and feel our losses so we are able to move on.
What are you and your family missing the most right now?
