Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Mrs. Nordby and I am the school social worker at the Albertville Primary School.  Kindergarten is such an exciting time and an important milestone for kids and families! It is a time of academic growth and social emotional development. My role at Albertville Primary School is to provide social emotional learning to ALL students. I provide monthly classroom lessons to build social emotional skills by utilizing the Character Strong and Second Step curriculum and many other research based curriculums. I provide direct support on an as needed basis for students experiencing grief & loss, family change, or need help learning & building self awareness, self management, social awareness, and/or relationship skills. I also work with special education students and services are based upon their Individual Education Plan (IEP). I am a firm believer that building relationships and strong connections with students, alongside academics, is necessary to teach to the whole child. I am excited to be apart of your child's learning journey!
