Google Calendar is the main form of scheduling utilized at the schools and Gmail is used as the main form of communication. Both Calendar and Gmail are vital in day to day operations. Google Drive is our main way of saving, creating, and sharing files. Similar to Microsoft Office, it has tools to create word documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. Additionally, it has ways to create online surveys/quizzes, websites, and more.

Description: Canva is used to create all sorts of digital and print resources- posters, infographics, videos, presentations, etc. and includes a large template of pre-created resources. It includes a classroom assignment section to easily assign and collect materials students have created. Posters can be printed at each building using the school’s poster printer

Grades: All
Description: Kami is a collaborative PDF editing tool that allows you to take any existing document, including scanned PDFs, and write, draw, type, annotate, comment, augment, enhance, and etc. It integrates into Google Classroom so you can then assign it to students.

Description: MagicSchool is a tool that utilizes AI for both teacher and student creation and interaction. It comes with pre-created prompts that make using AI easy and effective. Additionally, there is a classroom management section that allows the teacher to selectively assign tools that students can utilize with teacher oversight.

Description: Newsela Social Studies and Science provide news articles and historical documents that are differentiated by Lexile level. This can be used to distribute reading materials to students or as a place for students to research materials.

Padlet is a collaborative tool that can create blogs, timelines, org charts, bulletin boards, and more. You can create your own to share or have a whole class working on one together.
Tool: Pear Deck
Grades: All
Description: Pear Deck takes any Google Slide deck and makes it interactive by adding a variety of different question types for student response such as multiple choice, fill in the blank, drawing, matching, etc. The answers are then compiled onto a teacher dashboard to review in real time.
Tool: Wayground (Formerly Quizizz)

Description: Wayground is a gamified quiz creation tool that has a bank of other teacher created questions or can utilize AI to generate questions based on materials you provide. Quizzes can be inserted into existing Google Slides, run just as an online quiz, or given as a paper quiz live or as homework.
