Hello! My name is Devon Tucker and I will be teaching grades 5-6 General Music, 5-12 Band, and Theory & Harmony this year at Sacred Heart.

I grew up in Wadena, MN, I graduated from Sebeka High School in Sebeka, MN, and earned my Music Education degree from NDSU.

This will be my first year at Sacred Heart but my 6th year teaching. I taught Band, Choir, and Elementary Music at Thompson Public School in Thompson, ND for four years. I subbed last year the the Grand Forks School district.

I am a member of the North Dakota Army National Guard Band where I play Bassoon and Sousaphone. I have been playing in bands since 2003 - I started in 6th grade playing trumpet. I learned Tuba in 9th grade, then Bassoon the end of my junior year. I was a member of the Gold Star Marching Band for 5 years while at NDSU, 2 of which I was 1 or 3 Drum Majors.

I enjoy staying active and spending time with friends and family.

I am looking forward to what is sure to be an exiting year here at Sacred Heart!
