Student Attendance:
Student attendance is expected in order to receive credits in any and all summer school courses. The principal has the authority to withdraw a student from summer school due to none or poor attendance. Any extenuating circumstances will require documentation and the approval of Mr. DeCosta. Students that are tardy to class will be warned on their first tardy and will be dismissed from the summer school if tardy a second time.
Discipline:
Discipline problems will not be tolerated during summer school. Students with discipline problems will be subject to dismissal from summer school. Students are expected to adhere to the Seminole County Student Conduct and Discipline Code rules and regulations during summer school.
Student Behavior:
Classroom disruptions will not be tolerated. Students referred to the administration office will be dismissed from summer school immediately.
Dress Code:
The dress code stated in the Student Conduct and Discipline Code 2021-2022 will be enforced. Students wearing tank tops, muscle shirts, spaghetti straps, flip-flops, hats and/or bare midriffs on campus will be subject to disciplinary action and dismissal from summer school.
Cell Phone Usage:
Students are not to use any personal electronic devices while in their summer school classroom or lab and should turn these items off or silence them. These devices include but are not limited to cell phones, head phones, smart watches, tablets, and video game consoles. Students are permitted to use these devices before the school day, during break, during lunch, and after the end of the school day.
Leaving Campus:
Students who leave campus during school hours without proper authorizations will be dismissed from the Transition summer program. You must check out through the front office.
Off-Limit Areas:
Students must remain in the courtyard during the breaks unless they have permission to go back to the classroom during the break. The parking lot and all other areas on the exterior of the campus are off-limits during the breaks.
Outside Vendors:
No vending agency shall deliver merchandise/food to this campus. Should such a delivery be attempted, the delivery agency will be directed to leave campus without dropping off the product.
