To ensure that ALL students can be successful in developing their math knowledge and skills, Milwee offers an array of support systems to meet the needs of a diverse student population. By providing both online instruction and practice and in person tutorial and homework help, Milwee creates a supportive environment where students can find the information, encouragement, and practice they need to be successful.
Online Resources
iReady is an online program for reading and/or mathematics that will help your student's teachers determine your student's needs. It personalizes student learning and, monitors progress throughout the school year. iReady allows your teacher(s) to meet your student exactly where they are and provides data to increase your student's learning gains.
DreamBox - A K-8 Digital Math program that independent studies have found to raise student achievement and better prepare children for future success. DreamBox combines a fun and engaging learning environment with rigorous, standards-based, math curriculum. It adapts lessons and recommendations based on the needs of each learner. DreamBox provides every child with individualized instruction.
Khan Academy's missions is to provide a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere. Khan Academy provides video tutorials and practice for all Math concepts. Teachers can assign videos and practice for your student to complete. Khan is a great resource if your student is struggling with a concept or needs extra practice.
Math Nation meets your child on his/her own time in a familiar, comfortable, pressure-free environment. The Test Yourself Practice tool allows students to check if the material is understood and refers students to resources that will address gaps in learning. Each subject has its own Math Wall, an interactive discussion forum where students can ask and answer questions anytime about the material.
Tutorial
Milwee provides after school tutorial in all areas of math that is open to all Milwee students. Our team of highly dedicated mathematics teachers deliver focused interventions and homework help during tutorial sessions. This service is provided at no cost to our students.
