A concordant score is a score from an exam the State of Florida has authorized as an alternative to the graduation requirement of a passing score on the FAST ELA Reading 10 Exam and the Algebra 1 End-of-Course (EOC) Exam. If a student achieves a concordant score, the student meets the graduation requirement for the state exam that corresponds with the concordant score.
Example: A student did not earn an Achievement Level 3 or higher on the Algebra 1 EOC Exam his freshman year. The students takes the PSAT in the fall of his sophomore year and earns the concordant score of 430 on the Math section of the PSAT. Because the student earned the concordant score, he has met the graduation requirement of passing the Algebra 1 EOC Exam and will not have to take the Algebra 1 EOC exam again.
