4 cups of whole milk
3 ½ tablespoons of cornstarch
6 teaspoons of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon of grated coconut
¼ cup of chopped nuts (walnuts or pistachios)
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, combine milk, cornstarch, sugar, and vanilla extract.
2. Whisk the mixture over medium heat and bring it to a boil.
3. Let the mixture boil for 2 minutes, stirring continuously until thick and creamy.
4. Serve the Sahlab hot in mugs.
5. Top each serving with a sprinkle of cinnamon, desiccated coconut, and pistachios or walnuts.
