Dear Principals and Assistant Principals,
This is a reminder regarding your school’s Comprehensive School Safety Plan. This plan should be developed by your Safe School Team and revisited yearly. State and federal guidelines must be adhered to in compiling this plan. The following sections must be included. Anything in red needs to be updated.
Section 0: Directories District UPDATE
Section 1: Current Status of School Crime Site-Specific UPDATE
Section 2: Safe School Action Plan and School Site Map Site Specific RE-ADOPT OR UPDATE—Needs to be signed and dated. Return by November 3, 2024. Send the signed original, including OCFA and Sheriff’s Department or your site SRO signatures.
Section 3: Disaster Procedures, Routine, Emergency and Reunification Site-Specific UPDATE—Annual Report (Template) and any School Site-Specific Emergency Plans UPDATE- REPLACE WITH CURRENT 2025/26 PLAN
Section 4: Safe Ingress and Egress of Pupils, Parents, and School Employees Site Specific UPDATE
Section 5: School Rules, Procedures for Discipline, and School-Wide Dress Code Site Specific UPDATE
Section 6: District Policies related to Suspension, Expulsion, Mandatory Expulsion and Zero Tolerance District UPDATE
Section 7: Notification to Teachers of Students Prior Discipline District UPDATE
Section 8: Child Abuse Reporting Procedures District UPDATE
Section 9: Discrimination and Harassment/Bullying Policy District UPDATE
Section 10: Safe and Orderly School Environment District UPDATE and Site Specific ADD ANY BULLYING PREVENTION INFORMATION
Section 11: School Site Council Meeting Site Specific Documentation of Public Meeting: Agenda, Minutes, and Signature Page. The Comprehensive School Safety Plan needs to be approved by the School Site Council. Return by November 3, 2025. Send originals.
The updated binder needs to be returned to Robert Craven by September 22, 2025, with the exception of sections 2 and 11, which are due November 3, 2025. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Click here to submit your Fire, Lockdown, and Disaster Drill Schedules for the 25-26 school year, this needs to be completed by Wednesday, August 1, 2025.
If there are changes to your dates and times, you need to email Cristina Corral and William Peraza as soon as possible.
Be sure to complete the Site Safety Survey following each drill and report by radio to the district office at the completion of each drill.
If your site has an AED, you must complete a monthly check.
