CSSP Binders are due no later than September 25, 2026, to Robert Craven, except for Sections 2 and 11, which are due back by November 6, 2026.

Dear Principals and Assistant Principals,

This is a reminder regarding your school’s Comprehensive School Safety Plan. This plan should be developed by your Safe School Team and revisited yearly. State and federal guidelines must be adhered to in compiling this plan. The following sections must be included. Anything in red needs to be updated.

• Section 0: Directories District UPDATE

• Section 1: Current Status of School Crime Site-Specific UPDATE

• Section 2: Safe School Action Plan and School Site Map Site Specific RE-ADOPT OR UPDATE

SSC MEETINGS MUST BE HELD PRIOR TO OCTOBER 16, 2026.

**PLEASE REMEMBER TO INVITE YOUR SITE SRO TO THE SSC MEETINGS. 

Sections 3 and 11 require wet signatures & Section 2 requires annual reporting.

• Section 3: Disaster Procedures, Routine, Emergency, and Reunification Site-Specific UPDATE—Annual Report (Template) and any School Site-Specific Emergency Plans UPDATE- REPLACE WITH CURRENT 2026/27 PLAN 

• Section 4: Safe Ingress and Egress of Pupils, Parents, and School Employees Site Specific UPDATE 

• Section 5: School Rules, Procedures for Discipline, and School-Wide Dress Code Site Specific UPDATE 

• Section 6: District Policies related to Suspension, Expulsion, Mandatory Expulsion, and Zero Tolerance District UPDATE

• Section 7: Notification to Teachers of Students Prior Discipline District UPDATE

• Section 8: Child Abuse or Neglect Reporting Procedures District UPDATE

• Section 9: Discrimination and Harassment/Bullying Policy District UPDATE

• Section 10: Safe and Orderly School Environment District UPDATE and Site Specific ADD ANY BULLYING PREVENTION INFORMATION

• Section 11: School Site Council Meeting Site Specific Documentation of Public Meeting: Agenda, Minutes, and Signature Page. The Comprehensive School Safety Plan needs to be approved by the School Site Council.  Return by November 6, 2026. Send originals.              

The updated binder needs to be returned to Robert Craven by September 25, 2026, with the exception of sections 2 and 11, which are due November 6, 2026. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Cristina Corral (233361).

Fire, Lockdown, and Disaster Drills

• Click here to submit your Fire, Lockdown, and Disaster Drill Schedules for the 26-27 school year, this needs to be completed by Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

  • • If there are changes to your dates and times, you need to email Cristina Corral as soon as possible. 

• Be sure to complete the Site Safety Survey following each drill and report by radio to the district office at the completion of each drill.

AED 

• If your site has an AED, you must complete a monthly check.

• Click here to obtain your AED Monthly Checklist. Once complete, scan a copy and place it in the AED: 26-27 Monthly Checklist Shared Folder.
