PSAT
Laguna Hills High School will be offering the PSAT on Saturday, October 12th from 8:30am until approximately 12:00pm.
The PSAT/NMSQT® (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is designed to help prepare students for the SAT, college, and careers. Historically, students who took the PSAT/NMSQT scored higher on the SAT, on average, than those who didn’t take the test. Students who take the PSAT/NMSQT in 11th grade may meet requirements to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. All sophomore and junior students are encouraged to take the PSAT.
There is a $35 registration fee. Students can register through the Hawk Webstore. Early registration is strongly encouraged as there are a limited number of tests available. The deadline to register for the test is September 13th.
Please contact your School Counselor if you have any financial concerns or questions regarding the PSAT or if you have a conflict with the October 12th test date.
Please note: The University of California and the California State University systems will not be using SAT/ACT test results for their admissions process.
