Switching Shifts Process

Policy

It is the policy of Roots Church that any DT Member or Staff Member who becomes unable to serve / work their scheduled shift(s) is responsible for finding a suitable replacement for their scheduled shift(s). It is not their Direct Reports responsibility to find this for them. It is advised that PCO Blockout Dates are used to avoid this at all costs.

Procedure

[1] Decline your serve request(s) in PCO.

[2] Find someone on your team to cover your scheduled shift(s).

[3] Please notify the Area Coach AND Department Admin of the person who will be filling in for you.

[4] The Department Admin will then schedule the new person in PCO.

NOTE: If no one is available to switch the shift(s), it will be up to the Area Coach / Department Admin to communicate that information to the Team Lead of that day, and the Team Lead will have to make due with whomever is scheduled.

Apprentice’s / Area Coaches / Admin’s / Department Director’s are NOT expected to fill in on a last minutes notice but should do everything they can to support their team as much as possible.
