RED HAWK at Indian Hills 2026
FOLLOW US TO KEEP UP WITH OUR ADVENTURES
We camp with our sons for a weekend, once a month. We build community, instill values, and most importantly, we have tons of fun outside! Most importantly, we bond with our sons with unforgettable memories.
There are boys ranging in age from 5 to 14, from several schools in the area.
We form strong bonds with other families from all over San Diego, Encinitas, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Vista, Oceanside and more.
FRIDAY
Club-wide dinner.
Your club will coordinate all meals for the campout. Spend quality time with your group.
SATURDAY
Individual group breakfast.
Your club will coordinate all meals for the campout. Spend quality time with your group.
Skill building activities, hikes, games.
Every campout will have different organized outside activities for having fun or building skills.
Bead trading (tradition to build communication skills).
Kids can trade and negotiate with beads and trinkets to meet other boys and get them talking.
Chief's challenge.
You get to cheer your group leader in a tournament with a different challenge each campout.
Group Fire.
Come together to honor Red Hawk and celebrate our boys with live music, skits, dance parties, and life lessons.
Movie (optional).
Some campouts have a movie for the kids. Grab a blanket and enjoy.
Fundraiser (optional for dads).
Dads can participate in activities to raise funds for our Dream Catcher program, which benefits families in need of financial assistance.
Midnight Meat.
For those who stay up, a tasty midnight snack that never disappoints. From wagyu sliders to ribs, lobster or just tacos, there is something for everyone.
SUNDAY
Bear Claw hike and cleanup.
An activity to teach the kids to leave the campground better than they found it.
Closing ceremony and patch awards.
Reflect on our weekend, and earn patches!
Each campout has enrollment fees plus the cost of food and supplies. Financial Assistance is available from the YMCA for Campout Registration through the Dream Catcher Foundation.

GROUP DUES
This goes to cover your group's essential ongoing costs, including camping essentials,
equipment maintenace and storage fees.
(This is a one-time, yearly fee)

An important part of the Adventure Clubs Program and the Red Hawk Club. A series of principles for dads and sons.
We teach the kids to know them, and live by them.
1. To be clean in body and pure in heart.
2. To be friends always with my dad/son.
3. To love the sacred circle of my family.
4. To listen while others speak.
5. To love my neighbor as myself.
6. To seek and preserve the beauty of the Great Spirit's work in forest, field, stream, and beach.
