About Me

Hello and welcome! I'm super excited to start my 12th year of teaching! I was born and raised in Thief River Falls and graduated from LHS in 2010. I then graduated from North Dakota State University in 2014 with a degree in English Education. I have always loved this community and this school, which is why I jumped at the chance to move back home and teach here. It is a privilege to be able to work with the very people who inspired me to become a teacher! In 2021, I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with an Emphasis in English from Minnesota State University Moorhead. I have experience teaching grades 6-12, and my students and colleagues inspire me and give me a sense of purpose that makes me absolutely love my job. 

When I'm not in my classroom or grading, I'm busy with my two daughters, walking our dogs, or helping my husband with yard work/gardening/projects at our country home. I enjoy the outdoors, animals, scary movies, playing volleyball, and reading and writing (of course!).
