About Me

Hello and welcome!

This is my tenth year of teaching. I taught at Fargo North High School for one year, then seven years at Lincoln High School, and now this is my second year teaching at Franklin Middle School. I was born and raised in Thief River Falls and graduated from LHS in 2010. I then attended North Dakota State University (Go Bison!) where I graduated in 2014 with a degree in English Education. I have always loved this community and this school, which is why I jumped at the chance to move back home and teach here. I am so thankful to be able to work with the very people who inspired me to become a teacher! Recently, I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with an Emphasis in English from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

When I'm not in my classroom or grading, I'm busy with my two children, walking our dogs, or helping my husband with yard work/gardening at our country home. I enjoy the outdoors, animals, scary movies, being active, and reading and writing (of course!).
