We're taking a trip back in time to the Deep South during the time of the Great Depression. This classic novel is moving from 9th grade to 8th grade and there is a lot to talk about: race and class, innocence and injustice, hypocrisy and heroism, tradition and transformation!
This text will be taught in 8th grade per Florida's newly adopted B.E.S.T. Standards and the grade level reading lists.
