Community service for teens is often a requirement for scholarship hours and it's a great way for students to build their resumes and skill sets. More important, volunteer work for high school students can be a life-changing experience, one that allows teens to expand their horizons and foster meaningful relationships.

Summer camps hosted by Clay County School District has opportunities for students in grades 9-12 to earned over 90 service hours.

Summer camps are located at North Fork Leadership Center in Middleburg, Florida. The campers are in grades 1-8. Volunteers must be able to commit to working the whole week. The hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm. Volunteers will do a lot of walking each day. You must also provide your own transportation to and from camp each day. Summer camps are scheduled for the following weeks: June 26-30; July 10-14; July 24-28.

You must wear closed toe shoes. You will be hot and sweaty by the end of the day. Please wear comfortable clothes. If you can, please wear your school’s tee shirt.

You will be assigned to an age group for the week. Please be cheerful, helpful and always wear a smile. Please be there no later 7:30 am. You will be dismissed by 4 pm. If you need to leave early, please let us know the day before.
