Meet Your Teacher
My name is Mrs. Susan Heil, and I'm one of the 5 second grade teachers at Peters Elementary School. I have been teaching second grade at Northern Lehigh since 1999. I grew up in Jim Thorpe, but I have lived in Slatington with my husband, Kevin, and my two daughters, Emma and Jillian, for the last 12 years.
I really enjoy teaching second graders, but I have lots of other things I like to do as well. READING is at the top of my favorite things to do list. I hope it's something you like to do too! I also enjoy cooking, gardening, spending time with my family, and going for walks and bike rides. My girls' activities also always keep me on the go!

1. My favorite color is purple. I write and correct in purple all the time.
2. My favorite foods are shrimp, clams, and wings.
3. My favorite candies are gummy peach rings and chocolate licorice.
4. My favorite places to go are the beach and camping anywhere that has hikes with beautiful views or waterfalls!
5. I am the oldest of 5 siblings, and I am 48 years old.
6. I love to give scented stickers on papers and as rewards. They were my favorite stickers to receive when I w as in school!
7. My favorite TV shows are cooking and home decorating shows, as well as some game shows. But I also love old TV Shows like Laverne and Shirley and Happy Days! I've also been known to binge a few Netflix Series!
8. I don't have any pets.
9. My favorite season is Fall. It has my birthday month, October.
10. I love all holidays, because it means time spent with family, my favorite thing!
