Health Shift Year 2026
Our 2026 wellness program takes a bold, fresh approach to how we manage our health—not just physically, but holistically. This year, we’re excited to partner with Dr. Alice Burron, author of “The Health Shift – Your Personal Guide to Making Strategic Health Decisions.” With her guidance, we’ll explore what it means to truly take control of our health journey.
Our goal is to put you in the driver’s seat—empowering you to become an advocate for both your short-term goals and long-term health success.
Traditionally, wellness programs focus on actions—steps you can take to improve your health, like exercise, nutrition, or preventive care. But in 2026, we’re also focusing on wellbeing—the why behind those actions, and the internal and external factors that influence your choices.
We’ll explore questions like:
Ever wondered why you make the health decisions you do?
What role do fear, uncertainty or feeling stuck play in your health decisions?
Could overwhelm, cost, or information overload be holding you back from taking action?
This year, let’s embark on a journey toward a more mindful, empowered approach to health. It’s not about quick fixes—it’s about meeting yourself where you are today and making small, sustainable changes that truly stick. What if we shifted the conversation from ‘fixing’ health to building a lasting relationship with it, one step at a time?
Motivation Alliance App
We’re phasing out Walkingspree and transitioning to a new, user-friendly online and mobile platform called Motivation Alliance. This new system still allows you to track your steps, but it also offers a range of enhanced tools and resources—including real-time education—to support your wellness goals.
Employees enrolled in the Cigna health plan through EGI will also still be able to earn incentives towards things like State of Wyoming Park Passes and even getting a copy of the Health Shift book! Employees will be able to meet these goals at the same time in the same digital platform, offering a more cohesive experience for tracking. Motivation Alliance will sync with many of your own applications like MyFitnessPal and step trackers, with everything in one place, this platform will make it easier than ever to stay on top of your health in a fresh, engaging way.
We’ll keep you posted with updates as we roll out the platform, including where to find it and how to get started!
Wellness Challenges
While our approach to wellness may look a little different this time around, we're excited to bring you a fresh mix of challenges that go beyond the traditional. Don’t worry—we’re still keeping some classic wellness activities in the mix to keep things fun and engaging for everyone.
So, what’s coming up?
Without giving away all the surprises, you can look forward to insightful webinars featuring Dr. Alice Burron and our new Cigna Wellbeing Analyst, Adam Reiber. Plus, our popular wellness podcasts will still be available to help you earn points and stay connected to your goals.
One change to note: Walkingspree will be stepping out, but we’ve got plenty of exciting new ways to stay active and involved.
Our upcoming challenges will center around the Core 4—hydration, nutrition, exercise, and sleep—along with key areas of overall wellbeing like practicing gratitude and making more informed healthcare decisions.
