Welcome to Midwest School!

We are a small preschool through twelfth grade school located in Midwest, WY. We are located on 256 Lewis, Midwest, WY! Midwest School offers education to children from all around Natrona County. We are a part of Natrona County School District and we do have transportation available for students (excluding preschool).

PRESCHOOL

We offer a PM preschool to students who are at least 3 by August 1st. Preschool students must be potty trained before attending. The school day begins at 12:55PM and ends at 3:55PM.

ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, HIGH SCHOOL

SCHOOL DAY

Our school day begins at 8:00AM and ends at 4:00PM. We have supervision on campus beginning at 7:30AM and ending at 4:15PM. 

SCHOOL WEEK

Midwest School participates in a four day school week. This means we do not have school on Fridays (unless there is a holiday on a Monday). Midwest School WILL have two full weeks per school year to meet our contract obligations. 

FOCUS FRIDAY/ENRICHMENT

Midwest School offers Focus Friday once a month for students who may be struggling with class. If a student has an F or two D’s we will strongly encourage their attendance at Focus Friday. 

We also offer enrichment opportunities on these days. Enrichment offers a fun and educational opportunity for students! For enrichment, a permission form must be signed by parents/guardians and turned back into their teacher. 

Focus Friday begins at 8:00AM and ends at 11:00AM. Breakfast is served and transportation is offered for all students who normally ride the bus. 

ACTIVITIES

Midwest School offers a variety of extracurricular activities including Robotics, Student Council, National Honor Society, Yearbook, and Magic Card Club.

The junior high athletic program includes grades 5 through 8 and is a part of the Powder River Conference. Athletics include 6 man football, basketball, track, and volleyball. 

The high school program includes grades 9-12 and is a part of the 1A Northeast Conference. Athletics include 6 man football, volleyball, basketball, and track.
