The Casper Planetarium is Wyoming's oldest planetarium and has been in continuous operation since 1966.  

Housing the latest digital planetarium technology from Digitalis Education Solutions, the planetarium is Casper's virtual starship and time machine. 

Purpose:  The Casper Planetarium primarily supports Natrona County School District’s K-12 curriculum through interactive fulldome and site-based experiences. This is achieved through the presentation of full-dome shows, augmented lessons, and activities designed to meet NCSD students' grade-level science standards while embedding other content standards. The Planetarium also engages Casper and the greater Wyoming community through public and private group shows, presenting educational and entertaining shows about astronomy and planetary science.

Mission:  The Casper Planetarium ignites curiosity and a lifelong passion for learning by combining immersive virtual environments with real-life, interactive experiences and expert-led presentations.

Vision:  To make science accessible and engaging for all, we communicate the latest scientific discoveries and developments while collaborating with planetariums across the United States to enrich community engagement through inspiring staff presentations and guest lectures.
