As a little boy, I I tried many different things. Whether it was flag football or skating, my mom always had me trying different things. When I was in 3rd grade, I began playing soccer and basketball recreationally. I immediately loved both sports, and became very passionate for both. Every week, I could not wait to play with my teammates to achieve victory. During my 4th grade year, my mom was approached by my friend's father, who was trying to get together a travel basketball team, for those of you who do not what a travel basketball team is, it is an advanced recreational league. The players are much more talented, and you travel out of the city and even sometimes out of the state. When my mom approached me with this news, I was ecstatic. I was so excited to join the team and play; for what I now realize was for the wrong reasons. I wanted to play because I wanted to be able to tell everyone that I played for a travel basketball team; I wanted to sound "cool". The season went on and we were not very good. However that season taught me a lot about myself. Despite my team struggling, I still had a fun time; because I just loved the game; I was passionate about what I was doing. This season taught me that it is unimportant what other people think of what you are doing; YOU just have to enjoy it. From that season on, I focused on being involved with things that make me happy and elated; which has molded me into the young man I am today.

Throughout my life, I have grown and improved as basketball player. One area in which I have improved in is my ability to get to the rim. In this photo, I try to get by my defender and score the basket.
On my family trip to Philadelphia, I stand in front of my favorite movie character, Rocky Balboa. Rocky represents the idea of if you work hard and believe in yourself you can achieve your dreams. I believe in motives that are very similar to Rocky.
This is a picture of me in the dining room of the White House. This was my seventh grade trip, and it was very memorable. It taught me about US History, and I really enjoyed learning about who made our country what it is today.
This is a picture of my friends and I at my bar mitzvah. This the day I became a man in the jewish religion. It was a lot of fun being surrounded by so many friends and all of my family, and it was exciting to start a new chapter in my life.
This is a picture of my brother and I at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. It was a blast to combine my two favorite things in to one; family and basketball! I enjoyed spending time with my family and learning about the history of basketball.
