Yesterday

One of my biggest personal accomplishment back in Brasil was the experience gained by making events on Alto da Boa Vista, Rio de Janeiro. It was a total of five events. The first one was just for fun, when a friend offered me his huge house to make a party. Him and I entered this journey together determined to do the best we could. Afterwards, the public enjoyed so much that they demanded a second edition. That was how things started and were improving in every edition. Once you were in, we offered free food (barbecue, coalho cheese, etc) and all kind of drinks. Besides that, we placed a 10m Toboggan and a Soap Soccer in the middle of the grass, making it look like something they've never seen before. Like if that wasn't enough, my sister and some friends helped us on the decoration and painting people faces and bodies with purpurin. Their faces contrasting with the colored lights of the stage, that I'm going to talk about further ahead, making a beautiful and unique scenario when the night came down. We also built a 5x6x10m stage where all kind of artist, from Rap/Hip-Hop, Deep House-with Saxophone and Live auditions, to Funk, performed on it. This included friends who were starting their artistic careers and named artists on the mainstream, making it possible to them (my friends) to show their talents to their influences and to the public as well. On the road where highs and lows, profits and debts, but we didn't give up; that is the reason for the success that we accomplished on the end. Soon, another friend (also a DJ at the event) saw our work and wanted to join us, so the 3 of us decided to do it on the best manner as possible. The public was built up quickly, getting to a surprising 500 tickets sold on both last 2 events. This series of events didn't only make me a lot of new friends, but also taught me how to work hard with a group for a whole month before the official date of the party. We did this without even been able to think at profit at that time. It also taught me that motivation can get you anywhere you desire. As Eminem says: " You only got one shot, do not miss your chance to blow".
