Over the summer, my family took a trip to California. Looking out the airplane window, I spotted tall mountains surrounding a vast city. When we touched down we rushed off the plane to grab our bags. We drove down San Fransisco's windy Lombard street and adventured more through the city. The next day, we packed our hotel bags and drove 4 hours to Yosemite. As I looked through the car window, the view was breathtaking. Trees surrounded the cliff we were driving on and mountains loomed in the distance. Finally we got out of the car and rented bikes. We biked along the rough and bumpy ground until we got to the trail we wanted to. The trail smelled like fresh pine trees. Walking the trail, boulders and gigantic sequoia tree encircled us inviting us to continue throughout the trail. Ahead of us a humongous a water fall drizzled onto the rocks below it. The beauty of nature was like no other I had witnessed before. We snapped a few photos that would soon be memories and continued our hike for the day. Around noon we headed inside a cafe and picked up some sandwiches. Later, when the sun crept below the trees, we all found ourselves a spot at a cozy campfire and listened to some music that was playing. My family's experience in California was like no other and will always be in my memories.
