Last school year, I learned a lot from being a leader in both National Junior Honor Society and Middle School Student Government. Being in charge of the two major organizations at the school, I had to manage my time between them. I was involved in many charities, such as Boca Helping Hands, Feeding Children Everywhere, and Cancer Walks as a part of NJHS. In MSSG, I planned events for my fellow students. My favorite MSSG event was planning a party for the middle school. I greatly enjoyed planning a night for my colleagues to relish. Sometimes, MSSG needed more volunteers to help out with events. In that case, I usually asked my peers in NJHS to assist me. In this way, I created a strong relationship between the two organizations, making both of them a lot better overall. Additionally, sometimes, NJHS events coincided with MSSG events. On those rare occasions, I would have to choose which organization to support. Learning how to divide my time between two major organizations greatly helped me become a better person and learn more life skills. I understood the balance between taking on too little and spreading yourself too thin.
