My passion is playing basketball.

This passion for playing basketball began in 2nd grade. I played many sports when I was younger, but I always found basketball as the most fun and I enjoyed it. This is so meaningful to me because I always found basketball an entertaining sport. Basketball helped me grow as a person in 3rd grade. For my school in New York we had basketball tryouts. The next day the team was emailed out to the parents, I didn't make it. I was devastated and in a really bad mood. However, I went to tryout for a travel team which was a really good team. However, I made the team and I was shocked because this team was so much better then the other. By not making the other team it made me want to train to be better then all of my friends. For example, I trained with my coach from the other team three times a week and had practice twice a week. Therefore, this made me grow as a person in life. This also taught me a lesson at the same time that was never give up. Another thing this showed was the character I had.
