Ever since I could hold a pencil, art has always been a part of who I am. I've always found joy and expression in creating art, whether doodling flowers in school notebooks or painting detailed portraits. I've come so far in the artwork I make, and am still trying new things. I vividly remember my love for drawing cartoons when I was in about 5th grade. I would sit in front of the T.V. with a pencil and a sketch pad and sketch along with a cartoonist who gave instruction on creating fun cartoon drawings. I would always look forward to creating something fun and unique through these cartooning 'lessons'. I was always so proud of my creations, and learned that art is all about having fun and enjoying the process. I have shifted my focus from illustrating cartoons to trying to capture realism in people, nature, and architecture. Although I have altered the type of art I make, spending hours creating cartoons has helped me to be the creator I am today.
