7-12th Head Coach : Lance Gehring

A brief bit about me. I am currently a technology and engineering teacher at Minot Public Schools. This will be my 6th year teaching Tech Ed in the district. I spent the 3 previous years as a physical education teacher in Sawyer, ND. I graduated from Minot State University with Majors in Corporate Fitness/ Physical Education as well as a minor in coaching and nutrition and wellness. I competed in Track and Field and XC at Minot High School from 2000-2003 then 2003-2007 for Minot State University. I began my coaching career in the fall of 2007, making 2024 my 18th season coaching cross country at Minot High (man does time fly!) In August of 2019, I married my beautiful wife Angela Gehring and instantly became a step father to 3 amazing kids Damon, Arianna, and Bryson! XC and Track and Field are two of my beloved past times to be involved in, but when the seasons are finished and boredom sets in I thoroughly enjoy Bowling in the winter time and Hunting, Fishing, and slow pitch softball during the summer months!
