The Cheer/Dance routine was the first and longest-running team routine introduced in the NDCCA State Competition.
The Cheer/Dance competition is a traditional 2 minute and 30 second cheerleading routine. The routine is comprised of 1 minute and 30 seconds of stunting, jumps, tumbling, pyramids, and dance along with up to 1 minute of cheer which may also incorporate motions, prop work, jumps, stunting, and tumbling.
The Game Day routine is the newest routine, introduced in the NDCCA State Competition in Fall 2020.
The Game Day competition mirrors the collegiate routine of the same name, with each team performing all four components. The first component is a band chant, second is a situational offense or defense chant called at random. The third component is a cheer, and the fourth and final component is your team's school song/fight song.
The Time Out routine was the second team routine introduced in the NDCCA State Competition in Fall 2016.
The Time Out competition simulates a 1 minute time-out scenario, like that in a basketball game. A buzzer starts and ends the 60-second routine in which the team leads a crowd-engaging cheer with props, jumps, stunts, and standing tumbling.
