Hello, My name is Hannah Day, I'm an Integrative studies major at Northern Kentucky University. My integrative studies path is my two minors which are History,Archaeology and my focus of Anthropology. I'll be graduating this spring with my Bachelor of Arts and Science. My project will focus on the issue of the looting of Syria's cultural heritage and the devastating impact caused by ISIS.
Archaeological looting is the illegal or unauthorized removal of artifacts from historical sites by looters. This destroys important cultural and historical information, disrupts the scientific study of past civilizations, and deprives communities of their heritage. Looting also fuels the black market trade of looted artifacts.
My goal is to discover and research about the dark parts of the past, while also becoming an archivist in the future. My main focus of studies are the 1920's, Mesoamerica, Ancient Civilizations, and Rituals.
I have two dogs, a Yorkie named Zoey, and a Labradoodle named Otis. In my free time, I enjoy doing research, along with several other hobbies such as exploring, reading, photography, and hanging out with my friends.
