Impactful Experiences

The most impactful experiences I've had have been joining Simon Kenton's wrestling team and getting into the Young Scholars Acadamy program (YSA) at Northern Kentucky University. For starters, when I joined the wrestling team, I had no idea what I was doing but as the season went on, I made some amazing friendships and learnt very valuable skills. For example, one of these skills has been leadership. Wrestling has shown me how to be a good leader and how to gain peoples trust, now I apply that skill to my everyday life. YSA has opened up so many opportunities for me to grow. When I was stuck at my high school, Simon Kenton, I wasn't being challenged, but when I came to NKU, I started to be challenged and now I feel like I have learnt and grown so much. Also while being in YSA, I was accepted into the National Honor Society. I am extremely grateful to have been given the opportunities to be a part of these programs!
