Select the student(s) you will nominate based on the criteria.
The high school principal must be a member of NDASSP
Each School will be allowed one nominee for every 50 seniors based on the following scale:
Senior Class Enrollment Nominees Allowed
0-50 1
51-100 2
101-150 3
151-200 4
201-250 5
Etc.
The leading candidate(s) are calculated by multiplying the GPA by 250 and then adding that to the ACT multiplied by 27.777 or SAT divided by 1.6.
After the allotted number of nominees has been reached, the principal may choose to send other names for consideration, provided they, too, have earned a minimum of 30 on the ACT composite. After the NDASSP review committee review, the candidate’s principal will be notified only if their status has been upgraded to an official nomination. Schools are reminded to submit their leading candidates first, as additional candidates for consideration may be limited.

5. Applications will be reviewed, and the Contest Committee will make selections:
The committee aims to select 20 medalists each from Class B, Class A, and Class AA.
The top third, determined by the highest point totals, will comprise the Gold Team.
The middle third, also based on the highest point totals, will be assigned to the Silver Team.
The bottom third, selected according to their point totals, will be designated as members of the Bronze Team.
All school winners not selected in the top three (3) will be listed as All-State Honorable Mention.
The size of teams may fluctuate. The committee reserves the right to do this based on information on the application and tie total points scores.
6. By late February, principals will receive a sample news release that can be sent to local media for publication the first week of March.
7. Gold, Silver and Bronze team members will be honored with a digital presentation at one of the Basketball Tournaments in February and March.
There will no longer be an in-person parade of winners.
