Transition tips for 5K

For a smooth transition into 5K

All day Kindergarten is a big transition. Here are a few tips to help with separation and the many adjustments your child is making.

Establish a set routine at home and stick to it.

An early bedtime is fantastic. A 7:30 bedtime works well in Kindergarten.

Start the day with a good breakfast.

Be excited for what they will learn and experience each day.

Practice independence at home (tying shoes, opening snack items, eating lunch in a timely manner) and encourage independence.
