Welcome to the Kenosha Public Library (KPL) Job Skills for All Program! This multi-week program, hosted by ProLiteracy and funded by a grant from Pitney Bowes, provides in-depth information and mentoring on what one needs to be successful in finding and obtaining a job or discovering a career path. KPL is one of only four libraries in the United States that was chosen to host the program and offer it to our community.
Participants are given 6 weeks to complete the entire program, but you may work on the content at your own pace within those 6 weeks.
As part of the grant program, participants are given the choice to opt-in to receive a month's bus pass for Kenosha County transit. In order to receive the buss pass, you must complete at least 2 modules worth of content, including all items marked as Activities. Once you are done with the 2 modules, you will contact Stephanie to set up a time to pick up the bus pass at one of the 4 Kenosha Public Library locations for the upcoming month.
Participants that finish the entire program (all 4 modules and module Activities) will be given an executive portfolio folder to use for interviews, storing files, etc. The portfolios will be available to pick-up at any of the 4 Kenosha Public Library locations. If a participant lives outside of Kenosha County, the portfolio can be mailed.
If you ever have a question about the program site, you can contact Stephanie. Her contact information is at the bottom of every page on this site.
